HFG are currently partnering with a London market insurer in search for their next Syndicate Reporting Manager. The role will be a 12 month FTC with and responsible for the financial accounting and close process for he Lloyds' Syndicate and its related corporate member.

Responsibilities:

• Carries out IFRS (and Lloyds' UK GAAP) accounting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, adhering to Group reporting close timetable and reporting standards;
• Maintaining controls and process documentation, whilst attesting to controls on a quarterly basis - you will have your own set of attestations too
• Reconcile key technical balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis (quarterly for technical accounts)- you will review and sign-off these
• In addition to its core business as usual responsibilities, is deeply involved in Finance projects, particularly the migration to Oracle general ledger and FCCS consolidation tool

Profile:

• Have extensive insurance technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP and IFRS)
• Experience of managing a Lloyd's syndicate accounting team of 5-6 staff
• Strong Excel skills (experience of Access an advantage)
• Experience of finance transformation - especially change of general ledger
