HFG are working with an Insurance tech company who are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will need to have a strong background in financial accounting as well as technical knowledge, advice, and expertise on all areas of Financial Accounting to the business (UK GAAP, IFRS4, IFRS17, Solvency II and Regulatory Reporting).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the external reporting team, with primary focus on monthly and quarterly close and reporting internally and to Group, and annual statutory accounts.
• Coordination with the Regulatory Reporting team and IFRS 17 reporting teams, while collaborating with teams across Finance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Need to be a qualified accountant with knowledge of general, commercial insurance industry practices and policies, with a track record of delivering high-quality products to tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of the operation of financial systems, preferably including Great Plains, PowerPivot and Power Query.
