A general insurer that has private equity backing and ambitious growth plans is seeking a Compliance Director to support the business through its next stage of growth.

This is a home-based role. However, the firm has offices in the UK and you are able to work from one of these if you prefer.

You will bring compliance "in-house" and build a team of compliance specialists.This is an SMF16 role and as such, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing relationships with the PRA and FCA.

Duties will include:

• Building a regulatory engagement programme
• Producing an assurance plan
• Building a team of 5-8 compliance professionals
• Providing compliance advice to the business
• Managing and developing the conduct risk and financial crime frameworks
• Designing a training programme across the company

It is essential for this role that you have experience of managing compliance professionals in an insurance environment. You will have a detailed knowledge of FCA and PRA regulation and of regulatory compliance, financial crime and conduct risk.
