HFG are currently recruiting for a reputable Lloyd's MGA who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

My client is looking to grow in the South West region and is therefore looking for a candidate with strong broker relationships/connections in the commercial combined space. The successful candidate must have a strong background in the SME/Mid Market Property and Casualty market and must live somewhere in the South West.

Key Responsibilities

• Covering the defined geographic area of Southwest, Wales, and the South, with the ability to oversee connections outside of this region.
• Seeking out new broker opportunities in the mid-market commercial and high net worth sectors, with assistance in handling agency inquiries.
• Promoting and coordinating broker participation in internal workshops.
• Compiling and submitting weekly reports as per a set template.
• Participating in regular sales meetings.
• Organizing joint meetings with colleagues as needed.
• Collaborating with the Regional Director on strategic management.
• Part of a team of 6 Business Development Managers covering the entire UK.
• Supporting the trading underwriting teams in London.
• No direct reports or managerial responsibilities.
