I'm currently recruiting for a leading Insurer who are looking for a Private Client Manager to join their team!
The ideal candidate will have experience in client management within the high net worth/private client insurance sector, as well as experience dealing with non-standard risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving business growth by managing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, ensuring exceptional retention, performance, and profitability.
- Exceeding performance targets to support the profit and loss account, while identifying opportunities to align business growth with the group strategy.
- Collaborating with Operational Managers to support forecasting, resource planning, and operational management for business expansion.
- Building strong client relationships by understanding their needs, acting as their trusted advisor for insurance solutions, and ensuring positive customer outcomes during renewals and mid-term adjustments.
- Managing seamless transitions for clients from the new business team to your portfolio.
- Handling challenging situations with a proactive approach, embodying the brand values in every interaction.
- Representing the company through client property visits, providing support for renewals, surveys, and claims.
- Assisting managers in maintaining the UK risk and control framework to deliver excellent outcomes for the business and its clients.
Key Requirements

- Strong negotiation expertise across various client types, including experience managing non-standard risks.
- Proven experience in delivering outstanding customer service, client management, and conducting face-to-face visits.
- Excellent communication skills to influence, engage, and secure business opportunities.
- Confident presentation skills to effectively pitch and influence decisions.
- Ability to establish strong direct relationships with high-net-worth clients.
- Sound judgement in resolving complex technical issues and making confident decisions amid ambiguous or conflicting information.
- A willingness to challenge the status quo, introduce innovative solutions, and take decisive action on loss-making business.
- Demonstrated energy and drive to propel personal and business growth.
- A strong market reputation, gained through experience in a client-facing role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics and competitor activities.
