Job description

A leading European composite insurance Group are looking for a new Treasury Operations Manager to join the team. In this role you will ensure effective and efficient administration, internal controls and financial regulatory compliance of the Treasury Function whilst leading and motivating the team.

This role manages the daily liquidity cash position and monitors the cash flow requirements with the aim to minimise the overnight cash balances. This includes management of fixed deposits with banking partners and monitoring of balances in line with Group concentration limits. There is also management of letters of credit, including liaison with banks and Italian central team as well as ensure the pricing activities of unit linked funds are in performed line with the internal audit guidelines. Other areas of delivery are:

  • Operational management of the daily Treasury processes and support of the wider business as far as these are impacted by the Treasury processes.
  • Support the accounting system activities as they relate to Treasury operations and provide ongoing monitoring of all Treasury postings. This includes proactive management, monitoring and reporting on the SAP Payment Lot.
  • Administer the access and authority limits of Treasury systems and maintain signatory records with banking partners as required by Company and Group policy.
  • Ensure that Company approval limits are adhered to in terms of daily technical and non-technical payments and transfers.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance on all Treasury matters to the UK branch.
  • Manage the liquidity position with the aim to minimise the overnight cash balances, including maintaining balances within Group concentration limits.
  • Ensure that the cash management activities are in line with the Company policy and that the investment return from liquid assets is regularly monitored against appropriate benchmarks.
  • Maintain cashflow records and cash flow forecasts to support liquidity management and Group cash flow reporting.

The idea candidate for this role will hold a recognised treasury qualification (or accountancy qualification) and will have had significant experience leading a treasury function in a complex organisation.
