Job description

A leading London market insurance business are looking for a Senior Reporting Accountant to join their finance department to ensure legal entity and branch financial reporting are completed to a high quality in a timely manner.

The main responsibilities of this Senior Reporting Accountant role will be:

  • Lead in the production of the SII balance sheet, QRTs, SFCR and RSR.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing all reporting for the Service and Holding entities
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing financial information and delivery to the tax team
  • Manage the preparation and review process for branch results and external returns
  • Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory reports to the Luxembourg regulator
  • Perform detailed validation work and analytical review on the data collected
  • Work on ad-hoc projects to ensure that all issues are resolved and fully reported and support the implementation of improvements to Legal Entity Reporting

The successful candidate for this Senior Reporting Accountant will need a strong understanding of current insurance industry standards and external statutory and regulatory accounting, any knowledge of LUX GAAP would be a big advantage in this role. The candidate must also be a qualified accountant or close to being qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
