HFG are currently recruiting on behalf of a Lloyd's MGA for a Senior Claims Adjuster.

We are looking for someone with experience predominantly within Casualty. Ideally, you have previously worked with APH, however it is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately update claims files with necessary data in compliance with best practices and technical complexity
• Use judgement to determine liability and policy verification for claims
• Handle high value claims with minimal guidance and make decisions independently
• Develop strategies for timely resolution of claims and establish reserves within authority limit
• Negotiate settlements and manage litigation while ensuring legal compliance
• Mentor lower level claims professionals and stay current with industry trends
• Maintain confidentiality and treat customers fairly
• Contribute to team effort and participate in projects
• Identify and resolve problems using established policies and procedures
• Act as technical expert for own team and manage own development
• Collaborate with senior colleagues for complex issues and demonstrate commitment to corporate values
• Participate in audits, policyholder meetings, and stay informed on legal and medical developments
• Take proactive approach to claims management and early settlement to minimise costs
• Provide clear and concise reports to senior management
• Ensure policy obligations are met, customers are treated fairly, and conduct obligations are fulfilled
