Principal Auditor – Insurance

Leading Global Insurer / Reinsurer is looking for a Principal Auditor to work closely with the Senior Internal Audit Management team in providing assurance across a wide range of business areas within the group.

You will be required to:

  • Undertake internal audits (lead or supporting roles) across a range of business areas in the group
  • Contribute to the audit planning process for each audit by proposing scoping of work, test plans and resource requirements to the planning panel
  • Maintain complete, adequate and accurate working papers in line with Audit Execution Methodology and review those completed by the Internal Auditor where leading an audit
  • Liaise with audit stakeholders throughout the audit process as required
  • Draft audit issues and reports to highlight areas of risk and failures in the control framework
  • Line manage IA team members as required during audits

You will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Internal audit and Industry experience in relation to this role
  • Experience of leading a variety of audit across the wider business
  • Experience of planning and co-ordinating audit activities
  • Lead auditor experience
  • Relevant qualifications, examples being ACA, ACCA, CII, CIA
