Charles Bambridge: Lloyd’s underwriter who played for Upton Park, Clapham Rovers and England in the 19th century.
Steve Turner: Senior Partner at AJ Gallagher. Won the FA Vase in 1984.
Ditmar Jakobs: Runner-up with Germany in 1986 World Cup Final. Now an insurance broker in Hamburg.
David Beckham: Insured his legs at Lloyd’s for £100m when at Real Madrid.
Robert Ogilvie: Chairman of the Institute of Lloyd’s Underwriters from 1910 – 1911. Won the FA Cup with Clapham Rovers in 1880.
Trevor Brooking: Was a ‘Name’ at Lloyd’s during the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Cristiano Ronaldo: Also insured his legs at Lloyd’s for £100m.
Lionel Messi: Outdid Ronaldo and Becks by covering his legs at Lloyd’s for €750m.
Pele: Insured his head at Lloyd’s of London in the 70’s for $4m.
