A major London Market Insurance/Reinsurance group is looking for a technically minded accountant to bolster its Accounting Policy team. The role is aimed at effectively evaluating and embedding key reporting changes, providing critical technical and commercial guidance on key business developments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and developments in an increasingly complex reporting environment. You will play a significant role in developing the regulatory reporting expertise within the Group.
The key tasks are as below, and in the earlier years it is expected that Accounting Developments supporting IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 will be significant along with Solvency 2 technical support.
- Implement major accounting projects (IFRS 9 and 17) and other changes
- Support Solvency II projects and BAU as regards technical reporting queries and developments
- Advise on major business development initiatives
- Manage the technical review framework
To be considered for this role you are likely to be ACA qualified and will have a strong accounting technical knowledge. You must be comfortable with IFRS and Solvency II reporting regulations. Experience of insurance sector will be highly advantageous.
