An acquisitive and rapidly growing insurance broker are looking for an interim Financial Controller to support them through a period of structural changes.
The Financial Controller is responsible for all for the financial activities, managing a team of 9, including oversight of monthly reporting cycle, preparation of all tax returns in conjunction with tax advisers, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, audits and year-end statutory accounts and tax compliance. The role is responsible for setting and monitoring the performance of each department within the business in line with their set budgets. The role will implement and maintain all the financial controls and systems within the business as well as identifying and recommending potential operating efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.
To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant (ACA preferred) with the ability to manage a sizeable finance function. You will ideally have experience in the insurance/ insurance broking market and will understand the rigours of an evolving environment.
