A global life insurer is looking for a newly/post qualified Life Actuary to lead their IFRS reporting team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will manage the team and produce high quality regular financial reporting on IFRS basis; manage the production of the business plan, group risk appetite and other key business results and communicate results to senior management. Provide detailed analysis on the movements in key financial and communicate to senior management the key drivers in the results; manage the processes and controls of the IFRS reporting team to ensure high quality results and analysis are produced as efficiently and effectively as possible; work with both internal and external auditors to ensure processes and controls are high quality; keep up-to-date knowledge with the development of IFRS 17, collaborate with other teams and provide inputs in setting out the framework for the implementation of new financial reporting standard.
The ideal candidate must have:
at least 6 years experience in the Actuarial field
solid knowledge in actuarial concepts
strong communication skills and presentation skills
previous experience in relative Actuarial Financial report
