Position – Business Development Manager – Insurance (Digital)
Location – London / Chelmsford / Remotely
E-trade is one of the key strategic growth & efficiency improvement areas for the Property and Casualty SBU. Digitalisation of our offering is essential for maintaining our position, enhancing client intimacy, improving efficiency and building out our presence in the European SME markets. The goal is to have a global Digital book of business of ~250m GWP in 5 years’ time. The Digital Business Development Manager has an important role in order to contribute to this ambitious target at a local level. New distribution channels, opportunities and client segments are emerging and need to be targeted, while current initiatives need to be optimised. The Digital Business Development Manager will focus on both dimensions. Digital UW is the preferred route to market <10k GWP business. Facilitating the migration of policies in this category is an important component of the role.
On-board & increase number of brokers working Digital with the business
Increase performance of brokers (number of quotes, hit ratio, etc.)
Create migration plan for current SME business (both from a commercial & operational perspective)
Support Marketing and Communication initiatives with the primary goals to generate leads
Define local Digital proposition and create plan to communicate this to the market
Create Digital marketing plan (in conjunction with marketing function)
Identify new Digital business opportunities (new channels / segments)
Initiate and support sales initiatives to drive Digital top-line growth
Initiate and support the set-up of integrated insurance solutions
Manage performance metrics, analyse and report to support decision-making and performance enhancement
He/She requires a strong combination of local commercial lines insurance market knowledge as well as a good understanding of Digital. The candidate must have a commercial focus, strong analytical capabilities, a pragmatic approach, an easy way of communicating to various internal and external stake
