My client is looking for a high calibre Life Actuary with over 5-7 years post qualified experience to based in Hong Kong and strategically manage several of its local business units in A-PAC region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the Local Business Unit produced reports and interacting with Group Head Office and other functions within the regional office on issues include:
- develop business insights from reporting results and effectively communicate this with senior management.
- answering related queries from Group Head Office and other stakeholders around Regional Head Office. This includes Year-End, Half-Year, and quarterly reporting, as well as business planning and forecasting.
- reviewing regular experience monitoring reports, and drilling into the underlying reasons for movements in the results to aid annual assumptions review.
- addressing LBU specific business issues such as model changes, introduction of new regulation, new/re-negotiation of existing reinsurance treaties, etc.
The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years experience in the Actuarial filed with strong technical background and possesses excellent communication skills in English and previous experience in senior stakeholder management.
